Baby on the Way

Jeff and Melissa are having a baby :)

I had to make a house call on this photo shoot. Melissa was put on bed rest and was not able to due an on location shoot or a studio shoot like we had planned. We made a make-shift studio in their kitchen and made it work. We took these photos the night before my husband and I left on vacation in fear that she would not have a baby bump when we got back...but a baby instead.

I'm not on Vacation anymore!

After spending 7 days cruising around the Western Caribbean...it's time to get back to work!

I have 3 photo shoots that I need to edit. I have started with the TerHaar family photo shoot. This shoot was in Muskegon on location at their house on the day before I left for vacation. I'm only about 400 photos in, but I thought that an update would be nice. Here are some that have caught my eye so far! I hope you like them!

Super Busy Update!

I thought that things were going to slow down once fall hit. BUT, we have been on the go, go, go! List of things/stuff/plans for the near and distance future in random order:

• Finish packing for the cruise
• Go tanning ( I was going to go a month before we left, but we are down to less than 2 weeks and I have yet to go. )
• Make a yummy Mexican Fiesta to thank my models!
• TerHaar Family shoot in November.
• Cruising the Caribbean November 8-15.
• Thanksgiving
• Wrapping Christmas Presents
• Making Christmas gifts
• Photo viewing session with Amy.
• Celebrate 2 wonderful married years with my amazing husband.
• Planning a trip to Florida...we hope to make it there in February.
  
• Clean out the closets
• Become an Aunt for the first time
• Turn in our rolled coins for some extra spending money.

Nothing like a nice Fall October Saturday for a photo shoot with friends. Amy and her furkids, Trixie and Buster joined me for some photo fun! This is a spot is in a neighboring town...Kendal, that I've been wanting to shoot at for awhile now. BEAUTIFUL! Next time...Treats!

I'm about 1/2 way through Baby Emily's 6th month shoot from this past weekend and wanted to post an update. What a cute little nugget! I have to say it was a bit more of a challenge that I had expected, but the results are looking good :)

I've been editing photos on and off all day. I've got over 1,000 to get through. But, I thought that I would post some of my favorites from my model shoot this weekend. And I have to say it was hard to choose favorites because there were many grand ones. My models were super and want to thank them for their time and beautiful smiling faces! Back up and running! Can't wait for this weekend. Hopefully posting some fantastic new shots in the week(s) to come. Working with friends to model for some practice and more shot to add to my portfolio.

Started to pack for our upcoming vacation for our second year wedding anniversary. Around 40 days and counting.

I have a 'watch list' for Ebay and waiting for Paypal to send us some extra security something (you can tell that I'm up on the high tech lingo) before we will be ordering anything else. After getting our account hacked...just some hassle I really don't want to have to worry about right now. I have 2 or 3 tripods, 2 lens hoods, and 2 muslin backdrops, 2 light sets, and a stand I'm waiting to order. I hope they don't sell out before that thing comes in the mail.

Busted, Broken, and Beautiful

It's been over a month since my last update. To tell you the truth, I'm pretty sad about the news I am about to tell you...My favorite camera lens broke :( ! I just ordered a new one and it should be here next week and I can back into the swing of things.
I have a newborn session coming up soon and I'm looking forward to working with the new bundle of joy, Lilly.
Also, sent a photo update to Aaron, my webmaster, for the givemeashotphotography.com and that should be added soon. I am adding 2 new weddings from August and a few portrait shots that I like.
As far as everything else, Nate and I are enjoying the weather and the weekends...Finally! We do not get every many summer weekends to fully enjoy with each other. Due to my full time job be extremely busy in the summer, we sometimes have 4 or more tournaments each weekend and it keeps us super slammed. But, the weather has been great and we have been able to go camping for the first time this year. Although, the weekend we escaped to Ludington to camp it was rather wet, but we still enjoyed the time together!
I look forward to expanding my photography business and appreciate all the people who have passed along a positive word about my work to others. I absolutely love doing this and thank God for blessing me with means and the talent to do so!

Rain Rain GO AWAY

This was the first wedding where I was really worried about the weather. I was planning on fun ways to use umbrellas for the outdoor photos and the beach BUT...Rain, Rain Go Away :) We were blessed with clear weather and even the sun made an appearance. I had a great time with the Bride and Groom and look forward to sharing more of the photo memories with them!
